Well, there was not any fault of adsense if your visitors didn't click on Ads. :p
Its upon visitors to click and not upon Adsense to make them click. :D

The payment amount also depends on the amount of time that clicker stayed on the website and many other factors. I have seen people with 4 clicks and $6. You can only blame your visitors or yourself.

How do you think people are earning thousands or more a month off Adsense?

You need to improve your CTR or else you will keep getting low paying ads.

Why would Google give you high paying ads if your visitors do not convert? Every web page is like a real estate property.

Advertisers bid high to be placed in premium locations.

If your place is crappy, why would I want to be on your place?

If you are opening a store you want to open it in places where people will come in and buy what you offer.

Would you want to place a store in the middle of a slum area?

So study how you can improve your CTR.

    Good luck!

Out of all the ad networks i've found adsense pays the best - just stick to text ads.

Sounds like you are bringing them really unappealing traffic. Part of all the hard work going on in Mountain View is making sure that good, well-converting traffic is well-compensated and rubbish, poorly-converted traffic is not.

I would blame yourself not adsense. Look at your ad placement, niche, ad colors, where that traffic is coming from.

I just made a few brand new websites that get only 200 impressions a day but make $5 each because the clicks pay $2+.

I would assume the 1 click was invalid and the 1 cent is from impressions btw.

Flip that question around: Is there any better network than AdSense? From my experience, no others are anywhere near as good as AdSense.

Initiate SEO then you will get more relevant ads and better CTR. Remember that the key to both Google organic search results and paid advertising through Google Adwords is 1. Relevance, 2. Ad History (CTR over time/popularity) and 3. Cost. (cost is just a little relevant.) In fact relevance and CTR over time is the key to telling Google what your site is all about. Help Google understand what you are trying to tell the users and you will help your adsense program to give the visitors more interesting ads. Got it? :) The reason why you don't earn more money is nothing more than a result of this mentioned above. Try it and you will be amazed.

Clearly you are not understanding much about how to properly implement an adsense campaign. Just because your experience is not good doesn't mean other are experiencing the same.

A negative attitude and sarcasm will never pay ... so you might want to try and fix something.

I make obscene amounts of money with Adsense. For me it's one of the easiest ways to make money online.

    Your mileage will vary.

I would say bidvertiser is way worse than AdSense, to answer your question with my opinion (from experience).
