you get the quality backlink if some good site link your content because it is good. That the reason, i think.

Yeah if another site links your content or say a person passes your content around on forums or blogs. That will also give backlinks.

Well, theortically YES, but how good is your content should be when u can get organic quality backlinks is a big question.

Since nowadays, website won't link to others automatically!

To be honest, it is really hard in today's internet world to get backlinks soley rely on content.

I'm open to any different ideas!:)

It depends on the type of content. If its just a piece of good textual content then you may get a couple but probably not too many. If it is useful content, a useful app, unique video etc, basically content that cannot easily be replicated by another website and is unique to you, it should generate more links.

Just remember, if the site is new or currently doesn't have many visitors, you still may not get many backlinks as people need to see the content to decide to link to it. It would be worth doing other link building methods like blogs, forums, articles, press releases, social bookmarking etc to add to the whole link building strategy.

Good or unique content alone will NOT get you a lot of backlinks.

Unless you get traffic to your site who is going to baclink to you?

My advice is to work at it and get backlinks yourself and don't wait for the search engines to bring it to you or you could be waiting a very long time.

I will say Yes, but quite hard.

All in all, if u are really confident about the content of your site, maybe it is the only one of its kind. I will thumbs up for u u will get a couple of backlins I guess.

Question is: what is "good" content?

All the articles on my site are original, a few are even completely new information but, incidentally, the backlinks that I see appearing spontaneously point to small articles with little worth - in my opinion - that I've written in between to have something to publish.

It's a bit like the lottery, if someone bumps into something that he likes for some reason, he might link to you. If lots or people look at the original information but they don't have blogs themselves, you won't get a link.

Tell you what - it is a magic circle. You can have the best content in the world but nobody will link to your articles if the only traffic you get is the spambots. So, somehow you need to build a decent relevant traffic before you can have a chance to benefit from content linking.

other than content it also depends upon your popularity, it is obvious that if president obama blogs, he'll get lot of backlinks, no matter what he writes. Just think, is the same thing going to happen with you??

Having great, original, unique content is a terrific first step in a long journey. But no, you're not going to automatically get organic quality backlinks. You're still going to have to work hard for them. You're still going to have to put forth immense effort in marketing your site.

Just because you have great content doesn't mean people will find out about it. You're still going to have to put 1000's of hours into marketing, just like everyone else. Blog commenting, forum posting, social marketing, article submission, and yes, even advertising.

You're still going to have to give people a way to find out about your great content. If your content is great enough, it will be a little easier, but there work will still be there. Nothing is easy.

Yup that's possible people tend to tell there friends about anything interesting they find so if your content is really good they would obviously link to it. Thus helps you in making automated link back.

Well as i said, in some case even if you copy paste you'll still get traffic and popularity. You just have to be well known personality.

So we have to understand the basic funda behind getting popular, its not always about unique content, SEO. There is always a hidden 'x' factor behind every popular website.
