As a publisher, I find Adsense better than many others. There are some good alternatives but Adsense is paying better. As an advertiser, again there are some good alternatives. Try to give them a shot and see which one works best for you. I'm seeing difference in performance for different niches.

You may try Yahoo or Adbrite. Yahoo is much better than Adbrite and Adsense.

i don't think there are better if you are new to this online money earning things but when you go deep you'll find many more programs that might be more money making then adsense like say affiliates

From what I've seen, Yahoo seems to be a pretty good one.

Ive had Bidvertiser and done really well with it - its blown adbrite out of the water, in some cases better then Adsense

I cant say about yahoo as I dont have publisher account with them...sad to hear they aren't accepting more publishers.

If you wish you can even withdraw funds as low as $10bux using a paypal account - much nicer then waiting for $100 earned at adsense.

You can check out Bidvertiser with the link in my sig if you like :)

    good luck!

I tried Chitika's new context ads and they did reasonable with about 5% cpc to 7%. For the same traffic, since they were just canada nad US search traffic, the actual processed traffic with ads displayed was dismal compared to when Adsense runs comparatively.

Bidvertiser tests that did tens of thousands of ad displays were dismal and less than a fraction of 1 percent on cpc. Adbrite was better if I used the inline feature but nothing was even close to adsense unfortunately.

You know, folks. A good way to get adsense clicks is to camoflauge your links into the rest of the website. Take a good look at how this lady does it with her site: Self Starters Weekly Tips

I like Chitika, they have a new ad that responds to search engine traffic. Its a high converter.

Its not better than adsense, adsense is probably the best out there but I use adbrite.com. People bid for there ads to show on your site and if you get some high bidders and get a lot of clicks its pretty good revenue
