Just be sure to remember that PR is not the most important factor when it comes to SERPS. Think of it this way: 1. PR is something that represents your link popularity (and quality). It can be manipulated. 2. Your link popularity can be strong but unrelevant, and that won't do miracles. 3. PR1 website with highly relevant links can outrank PR5 with ton of unrelevant links. 4. Google aims toward relevancy. Don't think you can fool their algorithm just by building lot's of links. 5. Never link back to websites that might link to bad neighborhoods (they'll get penalized it's just a matter of time, and then you can guess what happens when you link to a penalized website - you get penalized too with them). 6. Always aim for relevancy and authority when it comes to link building. Be careful and don't waste your time building unrelevant links like crazy only to be disappointed when you see that you're still on page 10 for your keywords. It's better to build few quality links a day than hundreds unrelevant. Here's a little tip - do a background check on your 5 or more strongest competitors. Find all different URL's that are linking to them and try to acquire a link from them. Then add up your link building strategy and you can't fail to overtake that top spot. It might cost you time and money, but if done smartly it's manageable. 7. And yes, if you can get a PR10 link for free or a small fee, go for it, it won't hurt you of course, I'm sure it'll help you, but not sure how much... I'm not a SEO expert, this is just my opinion and I might be wrong, better listen to somebody else..
My thoughts exactly. In real life a blog about SEO doesn't have to blog and link to only SEO related websites. They can blog and link to a blog about toilets and I believe google would give the same link love.
But odds are that would rarely happen, and if the choice were possible, the choice would be getting both of them.
Is there any benefit from a PR10 Link? Yes, there is a huge benefit!! You are lucky if you can get one.
Careful with this. If they are really PR10 it would be highly unlikely for them to sell links, and especially at that price... And i know of google.com to be pr10, haven't seen many other PR10 sites. My bet is that this might be a scam where they have used redirects to get the fake PR and now scamming people into paying for a link there.
These are the only PR 10 sites: http://www.google.com http://www.w3.org/ http://www.usa.gov/ http://get.adobe.com/reader/ http://india.gov.in/ http://www.hhs.gov/ http://www.dhhs.gov http://www.europeana.eu/portal/ http://www.cnn.com/ http://www.miibeian.gov.cn/ http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php http://www.sciencedirect.com/ I doubt any of these sites would be selling links at all.
Yes, there is a HUGE benefit from getting a PR10 backlink. But, I'm pretty sure that these types of websites are major websites like Google for example. If you could let us know of the website, that'd be great. Yugo,
Well, yes. Go to your Google profile and add your link there, with your anchor text. See if there's any difference. Try this with other PR10 sites. See the results. There's your answer. Don't believe everything you read on a forum. Test EVERYTHING yourself... that way, you're way better off.
Of course you will surely get high ranking irrespective of wether that high PR site is relevant or not. My personnel experience showes me that if site has PR5 and above, and even if its not relevant to your site, google will definitely gives some weight to your link.
dofollow or nofollow? It's best to have links from dofollow sites rather than nofollow site, especially when you have to pay for it.
YES! High PR links are of great benefit even if they're not in your niche. However, you would be unable to get a pr9/10 link to your site without doing something illegal i.e hacking, unless you had an article written about your site by one of them, in which case you would probably already be PR 7 anyway. PR7/8 links are uncommon and expensive but it is possible that you could get one with enough £/$/€.
Of coz all links have a benefit. If I am a guy who writes about online marketing for my blog. but just out of want i write a short post about the new ferrari i've bought an link to their site. surely it would have some benefit to ferrari. Not only for pr but also non-related traffic. If there is such a thing A high PR link would only increase this benefit. So simply yes it is beneficial
