well i have uploaded the files into the root of my directory. It was a zip file so i decompressed it.

I created a database and a database user as "adlogger".

    But there is errors.

and when i type in www.easychum.com/adlogger

it shows a zip file and when i click on it, it takes me back to where i was at the start. With no installation in sight.

IMO adlogger is a waste of time, it counts when you hover a mouse over an ad, as a click, so it's statistics are completely wrong. If it counted the actual clicks then it would be good, but the new version does not do this for whatever strange reason.

    You could try http://asrep.com/

There is a free version and you can pay to upgrade if you like it.

Adlogger is ok and works very well. It does not count when you hover the mouse over an ad, but when you right click on it. I wonder... how many people do you think right click on ads? My opinion: Nobody :)
