    Hello

I just finished cleaning up after the March 6 slap,
now it appears that google will be doing some maintenance on April 12, I sure hope its not another slap.

I don't care; my campaigns are all immune.

Those of you with poorly structured campaigns, prepare for a . . .

If by 'slap' you mean that they are changing their Quality Score algorithm, they do this all the time. It's bound to penalise some people - generally affiliate marketeers - but it doesn't usually impact businesses advertising their goods/services, so my accounts should be fine...

I disagree, I have been affiliate marketing for years and have never been slapped once.

It's bound to penalise some people

True, but its not affiliate marketers, its those who dont read googles help, setup campaign improperly, don't use a strategy, or are simply plain dumb.

    Sorry - just to clarify...

I meant that most people getting slapped seem to be affiliate marketers, rather than most affiliate marketers get slapped.

In the past, sites with poor websites - little content, no privacy policy, disguised adverts etc seem to have been penalised the most. If you build a good website, and follow Google's guidelines, then you don't get penalised (usually).
