I just started a wrestling forum site a couple days ago using phpbb. The site is www.ringsideforum.com. There aren't any posts yet though. I believe my site is eye appealing and ready to go but how do I start to get traffic. Will I have to post topics my self? Will I have to refer people one by one? I feel there is an easier way, but I just don't know it yet. Can anyone help me? It will be greatly appreciated!
There are directories, other forums and yes! You must provide some contents, stimulate people to partecipate, creating contests (maybe not for money) and finding sponsors (your hosting, for example) able to give to visitors some goods... Content is king in a forum! Try to think Why someone should join your forum?
Start posting stuff on it yourself & get friends & family to also post stuff on it as now one really joins an empty forum. If you havent got time to post on it you can pay some companies (or freelancers) to post stuff on it.
Is there like a forums submission site which allows people to see the site based on what category they searched for?
