I bought a domain a few months ago which I haven't had achance to develop yet. Essentially all I have is a 'coming soon' page and a short description of what I plan for the domain. I was hoping to get some quick content up on the site so that when I do come to develop the domain more fully (which is still a while away) I'll have a few pages indexed by the search engines, perhaps even a few backlinks. Generally I want to be in a strong position to quickly improve my search engine rankings. I was looking at rssmini but I don't think this will help with the search engines. My thinking behind this is that the content is constantly changing. The search engines want to provide their users with relevant content. If the content on my pages is constantly changing then the search engines can't know whether it will be relevant or not. I've looked around on various sites (hotscripts.com, scripts.com, searches in this forum) but haven't found anything which really meets my needs. My main aim is content that isn't going to change. For example an article would be found in an rss feed, it would then be fetched and displayed on the site at a specific url that wouldn't change. I've considered using a blog as I know there are plugins available to integrate external rss feeds. I don't think this will fully meet my needs however. It would be nice if videos and the like were displayed in some way rather than just have a description and link. Similarly articles wouldn't be fully fetched, just a description and link. Does anyone know about a script that gets close to what I'm hoping to do? Static content from a variety of rss feeds?
