Here is the "Simple Image Gallery" plugin at the Compaq CQ60 image gallery. It uses a plugin by JoomlaWorks where you just place a code in the body of an article text leading to the images on the back-end and it automatically generates the thumbnails with lightbox pop-up effect for the full size image. Sample code that goes into the article text {gallery}gallery/pictures/computer{/gallery} I would like to find a Wordpress plugin that does the same thing. Most Wordpress folks with large image gallerias just link to Coppermine Photo Gallery but I'd like to keep the gallery within Wordpress so it'll be indexed and tagged.
This isn't "simple" but its easy to use and it should do the trick you're looking for. I use it here: notagrouch.com -- check out the "kern river camping" post with pictures. This is powered by Nextgen Gallery. Very easy to use and manage, you can also use templates and tweak the layout for your galleries exactly how you want it. To post a gallery on a post or a page you use shortcodes like this: [ngg gallery=X] -- or something to that effect.
Hey there, no problem. Its a pretty popular plugin so even if you run into problems you should be able to get it fixed or get help. GL. btw, how does your latest blog post show up next to your sig? peace.
Here you go. User CP > Edit Options >Blog XML Feed URL Type in (without spaces): http:// www. YOURDOMAINHERE .com/?feed=rss2
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/cleaner-gallery/ This plugin cleans up Wordpress' messy gallery and also supports several different "lightbox" plugins, or use WP's built in Thickbox.
@pegasusteam Nice, I hadn't seen this before. And you can't really go wrong with a JT plugin. If you're using Thematic or any of its child themes, this gallery plugin may be the best option. @abercrombie Thanks I did it. Now I just have to come up with more interesting posts.
