mods can, but they wont. and if you are thinking about red rep for a post that had nothing to red rep for, dont worry, it happens all the time

complain about it and the one who gave you a red will be the only one not giving you another (until they give out enough and enough time passes.)

Problem is most don't sign so you still wouldn't know. But you can be one of the only ones here with 3 red boxes if you like.

so if someone give a Red repp, then possibly MODS or Admin will know who did it.

what exactly are the MODS going to do?

    1. if a member gives away an abusive comment
    2. when a user joins, how many Greens he/she has to begin the journey?

I think you should make an issue out of it (if concerned about one red rep in particular) and at any rate it's always considered good forum ethics to make a new thread about it, you know asking the general public whether it was one of them who did it...

Pointing fingers also helps a lot.

    ;)

look i have 100's of red reps with comments like "die bitch" shut up skank, whore,
things like that, do i care? no i just give reps to who i think earned it, and reds to them that earn them, and i sign 90% of my red reps or post on the thread with a quote of the offending post and tell them they get red for it.

lifes to short to worry about it, just move on

So, If i want to say, this member is good or bad, do these reps help in any way?
Basically, i dont find any link which could show me why 'this' member has so many reps?
I can see and read through iTraders but not reps..why such a rule which doesnt allow a person to judge between right and wrong :(

It's pretty easy over time to get a good feel of who you can and cannot deal with.. Usually (not always) the repeat banners (banned)... overly repped, way too newbie, spammy, or otherwise, seedy looking characters are the ones to watch out for..

Again, not all ... but some.. You'll get a feel for it after a while... ;-)

If people knew where they are getting red reps from then either it will start a red rep war in DP, or nobody will have any green reps. :D

But then if you are not giving a change toa newbie to prove honesty, how would you know whome to deal with. I have read across services and content creation section, there are many people earning, have less post count, so i dont think it would be wise to say, i can TRUST them..

I was also, reading through many scamms happening at DP, we have seen newbies are scamming,, but WHY are they doing this. people are getting BANNED, is that a reason for others to take out their grudges with those who got them BANNED?

    confused again..

I have read the infraction policy, but when would a MOD or Admin take a decision of BANNING someone so suddenly? Is that they only take the words of High Post/iT members?

or what is the criteria behind BANNING someone and for what all he/she can be BANNED?
