Is there a way to see what competition is doing for SEO?

    Thanks,

    I've tried looking they have 232 backlinks, I have 9,000! Noticed 1 thing that could be doing it....and its nothing to do with backlinks.

    You cannot say "nothing to do with backlinks"!! Backlinks are one more important factor.

    I disagree on this with you...as I have links were they have plus many other sites too. So the issue isn't the backlinks!

    Thats what I am saying.. Backlinks are not the only factor... They may be strong in other factors.

    And remember: backlinks must have targeted keyword in anchor text.

    Doh yes, doesn't everyone know that? Actually, you get better SERPs if you use variants to the keyword, for example:

    Cat is keyword -it isn't really!
    Anchor text - Black Cat, Naughty Cat, Fun Cat, Lovely Cat, lovable Cat.

    If Google sees that you optimised for Cat and the majority of your backlinks are Cat, they will penalise your site.

    The only difference is, their domain is older than mine, by 2 years. Surley, that cannot be result?
