Is there a way to see how many searches were done on specific keywords?

Just wondering... is there a way to be able to find out how many people were searching a specific keyword in any month?

For example: 'Cars' has been searched 5 million times this month, ect..

if you have google analytics in your site,

it will report everything to you.

or atleast have a google webmasters account and utilize webmasters tools to see the key words.

Google Adwords Keyword Tool might help you (do a search for it, or for Keyword Tools)

There are various other keyword tools (some paid, some free). My personal favourite (in the UK) is WordTracker.

I don't think any are 100% accurate - you need to use common sense (or perhaps compare the same phrase on different tools to make sure results are accurate).

 

You can use the google keyword tool to searching the keyword in the month.

 

It's not very accurate, but if you want to know if a phrase is competitive or worthwhile to go after, you can look and see if there are many people buying that phrase for SEM. If noone's buying ads, it's likely not all that valuable.
