Is there a way to pick the keywords adsense uses to display ads? For example could i tell adsense to display ads only with the keyword "dog collar" or is this not yet available.
    Thank you,
    Tim L

Something like that will never be available. People would then just look up which keywords pay the most and only select those. The only thing you can do is to get the keywords you want ot target into the page title, the url as well as the first paragraph and/or meta description tag.

Using the special comments is not useful for tagging single phrases. They are meant to include/exclude blocks

Does anybody have evidence that <!-- google_ad_section_start --> actually works?

Yes works fine, results are changing within minutes/hours - and it works too for single words or phrases; at least if you use ( <!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) --> )
