You should use HPNs to get better pay per clicks.

My guess is that she means High Paying Niches.

Go to Google Webmaster Tools website:
    https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en

Enter keywords, then under drop down menu select CPC.

Find keywords that have over $5.0 CPC, and write content for them.

Once these ads appear on your pages, when people click on them youll be getting at least $2.5 per click.

You are probably stuck in a low paying niche. Basically these are niches that contain low paying keywords (keywords that have little to no advertizer coompetition).

These niches can be lucrative only if you have an extremely high number of people passing through your site and you have decent CTRs.

The only way to deal with the problem is to either try to drive more traffic through your site (and I mean LOADS more) or change niches completely (which would require you creating a new website).

Don't make a judgement immediately. Some of those click maybe invalid. Take a week long analysis and see what is your average CTR.
