Hi, mods I am seeing alot of people being scammed here in the bst sections. Is there a way that you can increase the itraders that they must have, and post count.
People get banned here (and I will not mention any names as they are mostly the same people) and 2 weeks later they are back in bst scamming again. Or they get banned then create a new user name so they can just bash the other sellers that are trying to provide an honest service to them.

They create a new user name get the posts they need by making stupid comments and wait the 2 weeks and start all over.

I enjoy being here on DP but people like this is bring this forum down and making it undesirable. I know you mods are very busy and do the best you can (thats why I use the report button alot) lol

But it is getting ridiculous the amount of banned people that make different accounts and the amount of people getting scammed.

I know this is just my opinion but I hate seeing people being scammed and you see post that you know are just going to take their money and run and there is nothing you can do. Yes you can report the post but that does not always work.

For example there is a post going on now that is offering master resellers for 12.95 / month with free whmcs, free dedicated ip, free website.

    Lets break this down
the whmcs lic cost 15.95 a month if you a reseller for them (like we are) you can buy them in bulk for a discount. so lets use 10 lic in bulk that is still 10.00 / month
that leaves 2.95 minus paypal fees, and server costs, dedicated ip costs and not to mention the free website.

So tell me how this is not a scam.
when last week this same seller posted his website for sale??

I just want this to be a safer place for people to buy sell and trade and I am only posting a suggestion.

We are all tired of seeing this "I got scammed 3 times buy this same guy" when they bought from 3 different sellers, but turned out to be the same guy.

You can only get iTrader in the BST.

Yes I know this, but that would require them to buy or make transactions in other areas in the bst before posting an item for sale.

It's a big concern. However DP tries to address the issue of scammers they'll find another way to dupe the system - they're pretty dishonest you see. iTrader and post count only offer moderate protection anyway.... to illustrate this point I know a man with 360+ iTraders, 6000+ posts who is as bent as a dog's back leg. Erm, no names mentioned.

The biggest scammers are going to scam whether the limit is 25 posts or much more. Just keep using the report function. That's the only way to have us deal with people we don't catch on our own. Also keep in mind that you have no way of knowing someone's been banned for "scamming." That's very often not the case. In many cases people simply get banned for hitting 10 infractions - often for bumping sales threads, posting sales in wrong forums, etc. Also, if we find duplicate accounts, they get banned. Again, that really has little to do with the BST post requirements - if anything, it shows how determined the serious scammers are... they'll find a way to do it until they're caught again. That's a price in having the luxury of a free marketplace section though.

Also keep in mind that moderators don't get involved in personal business disputes, and not everyone is going to agree with a specific offer being a "scam" or not. We don't delete them or ban people just because others don't like the offer. As a buyer, it's your responsibility to be careful about who you deal with. But if anyone is technically breaking one of the forum rules, just let us know, and we'll take care of it as we're able.
