i've seen search clicks between .03 - 1.53 in my own experience, but I'd like to see the latter more. Are there any techniques to this? Does google reward for more search queries? I"ve been looking but I can't find anything that goes into great detail into better monetizing AS for search like you can for AS for content... I've also heard of PPC programs that pay a flat rate per search though I don't know of any. Is this true or BS? Any help would be great... Justin
I think adsearch is like a normal ad.. it depends on the keyword (which depends on how much did the advertiser bid)
I've found the same thing, it depends on the keyword your visitor searches for. And it also comes down to the topic of your website... for example, if you have a website about baseball caps it is more likely that the visitor will search for something broadly related.
Yes, entirely depends on the keyword. In search of the boundaries of the TOS you could perhaps post a 'new word of the day' script just above the search in an attempt to get people to search for those words. You could prime them with a short intro which isn't satisfying enough... Like: "Did you know... Mesothelioma is a bad disease blah blah..." I don't think you are allowed to say they can search for it but you can try and grab there attention and hope they search for the (high paying) keywords you suggest. Would depend a bit on your site's content I guess. Could work well for a geenral interest portal of search maybe.
Well, I've had a few search clicks and got a big ol' fat NADA. Only useful function seems for people to browse through my blog looking for certain info and posts.
