I own a forum, and want to promote it, can any of you advice me on how to get backlinks?

 

Forum posting it self best way to get back links. Do more blog commenting to get no follow back links.

The only way you are going to get great links for free is if you offer something really great, or you provide something really great for them to feel its worth linking to you, such as great content, infographic etc

 

you can start with sharing your forum in different related forums. it will popularize your forum and other forum members will be eager to make a link with you.

 

being active on forums and leaving signature links can be a good way of increasing serps for sure.
