is there a way to find out where google image traffic is coming from?

    All of a sudden on one of my blogs im getting HEAPS of google image referrals. is there a way to track these in analytics or something? or if people are hotlinking to the thunmbnail or what ever might be happening?

    not being entirely clear there am i haha. i hope you get what im talking about. as i understand it analytics doesnt track google image frames?

    In google webmaster tools - on the statistics page, at the bottom you can downlaod a huge file of query stats - it's in there.

    Webmaster tools >> Top search queries.
    Now click the down arrow where it says "1 week ago All searches - All locations".
    From the "Search Type" drop down menu choose "Images" :D

    if you using blog, why dont you try mybloglog.com? I use it, and I combine that stat traffic with google analytics.

    You will get all the details you need to track your visitors.

    statcounter doesnt track the google image frame either. the only thing that is so far is statpress but it only shows it being referred from google images. not actually anything else. just thought it was strange ive suddenly had so many hits on heaps of images on my blog.
