I have a website that has a lot content pages about cars; i would like to run google ads on them. However the theme of the website is based about cash for cars and i run a cash for car business and i do not want my competitors to show up on the web pages. Any suggestions?

You can block the urls of the advertisers you dont want, but your are not able to select the advertisers for your site.

I am having the same issues, with a site of mine at the moment, some conflicting words are now forcing google to display unrelated adverts on my site.

Hope that helped, & Good luck

You can filter specific url's, but that can be a PIA to constantly watch.

Use Adsense preview tool to find out the URL of ads from your competitors and then in your adsense account open competitive ad filter and enter those ad URLs . Those ads will be blocked in 24 hours . You can only block up to 200 sites this way .

it is telling adsense to look at a specific section of your site and deliver ads accordingly based on the content of that targeted section. for more info, just search google for "adsense section targeting"
