Is there a way to change the fonts/style of ad blocks?

    There doesn't seem to be a way, but maybe I'm missing something.

    Specifically, I'm trying to make the link block below the search box on my site www.playedonline.com blend in. Right now it almost looks like another menu but not quite. Any suggestions (other than changing the other menus to look like the ugly google box) ?

    That's what I figured. So is it common practice to build site designs around the way google ads look? I'm kind of new to this adsense business.

    google_font = "Verdana";
    google_font_size = "10pt";

    These variables can be used but am not sure its only for premium publishers or regular publishers can use it too. Its better to ask google :)

    You need to have explicit permission from Google to change any of the script variables. And in this kind of situation, permission isn't likely to be granted :(

    And it is worth noting that changing the script - especially in ways like that - is a suspendable offense unless you have permission from Google.

    I emailed AdSense Support a few months back and asked it there were a way to change the font in an AdSense block - the answer was "No". Unless their policies have changed in the meantime, I'd say you need to work with the default fonts/styles as they are.

    You can change it :)

    What cannot be changed :?

    But its not allowed in TOS of adsense.

    be careful :)

    By "No", I think AdSense Support probably meant "you're not allowed to change it". Whether it's physically possible is another story altogether. Important clarification, though, so thanks for bringing it to light. :)

    There are all kinds of customization you can do to AdSense ad units... just the compliance team won't be very pleased with you for most of them :p
