I have a wordpress blog and my pages always seem to be indexed based on catagory. Is this how it always works? Is there anyway to change it? I have an elementary education blog. So when someone searches for Hersey Bar Fractions (ex) they find me and are taken to a catagory link which sends them to my page with 2 summary posts. It appears as though some people don't know to click on the title of the post to expand the post and consequently I lose them. I don't know how to remedy this problem. Those who do know how to expand the page move around to my other math related posts. I guess I don't understand why the link is not the exact page and viewing the whole page. Sorry to ramble...is there anyway to fix this? Thanks
I'm guessing that when you publish a post that it shows up fully on the main page. If so you might want to consider using "more" tag when compiling a post. In your "write post" control panel there is an icon for the more tag, this inserts a break where you want it within the post. The best way to use it is to write a small introduction paragraph, insert the more tag after it and write the rest of the post. When you publish the post only the small introduction paragraph will show up in the category section. Clicking the title of the post or the 'read more' link will take the visitor into the full post.
I can't really help without the URL. Pm me it if you don't feel comfortable mentioning the blog in public.
