Very Simple: If I want to know what the average click cost for a term is going to be, can I find out? E.g. if I think, oh, I wonder what it would cost per click if I wanted to buy "marketing agency london", is there a way of finding out?
There's the Google Traffic Estimator tool, yet it doesn't seem very accurate whenever I use it - it tell me a 0.10 bid will get into the top 3, when in reality it would have to be far more than that.
best way might be to try it... I tried this with some insurance related terms and discovered that they are very expensive.... Run a campaign with a limited spend and see what happens
I suppose I could juts put a £10 budget into a campaign and then run it for a day... WHERE CAN I FIND THIS GOOGLE TRAFFIC ESTIMATOR THEN? I'll try it, but I'll bear in mind that it pedicts too low!
use traffic estimator and spyfu, it should give you a ballpark figure. Special note - If it says bid ranges from 0.10 - 0.50... bid 0.60 to get the ad up and running without a problem, then slowly decrease position as you get clicks and establish a position. Don't start with the 0.10 bid, its much harder to gain traction this way.
TrafficEstimater and SpyFu offer good BENCHMARK numbers. Just make sure that you don't set your job on those numbers. Keep in mind that the price for the ad position varies on the Quality Score. Your Quality Score reflects your keyword's CTR and the relevance of your ad text and landing page. Keywords with high Quality Scores are more relevant for users, more effective for your ad campaigns, and have lower minimum CPC bids.
I think its just for US target campaigns. Just take the $ and convert to UK and discount maybe 20% - 50% for UK bid costs. Again, this is just ball parking so Im just real figures are way off
