Is there a set time (3 months) anymore?

    Well, I know PR has been irratic lately, but is there still the 3month wait between real updates? if so, when was the last update?

    If it follows the 3 month update the next one should be sometime in January.

    It absolutely does not follow that time any more. Could be six months, could be 3 or 4 or 5.

    I agree. Generally speaking, people who say PageRank doesn't matter are those who already have well-established PR4, PR5, PR6+ sites. If you have a new website, the lack of PR can make you look like an amateur. PR does matter... but only superficially.

    That said, SERPs are much more important than PR, and PR will come over time. Unfortunately, time is the variable... and Google likes to make people wait and toss them around in the meantime.

    I have found that adding new pages, updating your sitemap, and resubmitting it to Google - a few times a day - helps boost your SERP rankings.
