Hi there, Currently I'm manually charging credit cards 30 days after a purchase, it drove up conversions considerably but the number of declinded credit cards also increased. I've had a look at implementing PayPal's subscription service to pre-approve the credit card, however that's just too many hoops someone has to jump through just to buy the product. So does anyone know of an alternative service that will allow me to pre-approve customers credit cards and charge them in 30 days time, allowing them plenty of time to test the product and ensure they still want to go through with the purchase. Thanks very much
You can use a merchant account and a payment gateway that supports separate authorization and capture of credit cards. You would authorize the card and then actually process it later. You can also void the auth if the customer cancels it.
Hi jestep, Looks like you're the one to talk to when it comes to payment processing, I'm just browsing the websites in your signature now. Thanks for your help. I'm located in New Zealand, does location matter when it comes to credit cards? I think our bank has an API we can use but its quite technical, is that something I should make use of? Cheers
