I just thinking to make a pixel website in specific niche. I know some of them, but honestly I'm not sure they make real money. So the question is: is there a value to set up a new million dollar website in a niche. Any experience in that web page? 10x
most probably you will earn $0.10 from the ads on the site. Yeah, pixel site has long lost its popularity.
The million dollar homepage was a complete novelty, to try it again in the same for would be a waste. I've heard of the million dollar wiki, but again, it's a one shot only novelty.
I'm not going to entirely agree with the sentiment already posted here. Yes, it's quite right that a direct clone of the Million Dollar Homepage won't shift a unit or two unless it's a family friend buying one. To say that it couldn't have been duplicated is silly. There were any amount of 'pixel advertising' sites that spawned from the MDHP, some of which earned up to $500,000 which, for a small bit of work, isn't that bad at all. But this was riding the craze of the MDHP and the media attention it attracted. Now that that ship has sailed, it'd be reasonably pointless to create a clone of that site. To say, however, that pixel based advertising is a dead end, however, I think is wrong. What it needs is a fresh injection, a new gimmick based on an old (but successful concept) can work really well. Think about it as a product or a service. If you can create a genuinely interesting concept out of a tried and tested method and your concept has appeal, then there is definitely a good reason to go ahead with it.\ If, however, you're planning a direct clone, then go with the flow here and forget it.
