Is there a relation between Google+ and PageRank?

This is a good question I have often wondered, and some valid points have already been mentioned.

"Google +1 is another attempt by google to compete with facebook." Is true but Google + uses "circles." However, Google + and Google Page Rank are separate. Essentially, Google + is a social bookmark site, with some resemblance to facebook. It's effect would be that of a social bookmarking site in terms of PR. So then does it effect your PR? It can. The other factor itself is that it is a "Google Product," which carries some weight moreso than a standard site. Bottom line is its not going to guarantee first page but it certainly helps.

Google + may certainly help but not to much extent.......
Google should bring another social book/website to compete face book.
We want more competition and facilities/plug-ins for user on social sites.
Obviously every user wants to do every thing through these sites.

 

I don't think so. There has no relation between Google+ and page rank. Google+ is a social network like facebook which helps you to get good page rank in the search engine.

Hmmm no there is no any relation between Google+ and PR of any website. While, its a good source of traffic for your website. So do use Google+ driving good traffic...

i think there is no relationship between google+ and page rank.actually page rank is closely related with google search engine.

 

Google algorithm sees facebook likes like backlinks so it might be possible that the same is going on with Google+ and also Twitter. Beside that Google+ can generate traffic and that traffic might generate backlinks again so it can influence your pagerank for sure.

 

There is no any relation between Google+ and Page Rank, but yes Google+ helpful to increase the SERP of your website.
I've implemented this on my own website.
I share the site url and continuing +1 to this link by me and other my friends,
after a week i notice the change in SERP position.
