I am going to be making up a website or blog to advertise a no. of affiliate programs but because at the moment my funds are all tied up I am forced to use one of the free services. Years ago I heard that FREE web hosting was not very reliable & the host would put their adds on your website – is that the case today ? In the future would I be able to transfer the domain name into another web host if I wanted to ? I should also ask (for future reference) which one of the paid web hosts is the best overall ? Which one is the easiest to use ? Which one is the most creative /artistic ? Which one is the most versatile ? Thanks
No, none of them are good which are free. Its better to wait, get some funds and then get a paid host.
hi, You are saying that you are going to run a website that lists affiliate programs, free hosting won't do it for you. Search for some affordable hosting and domain provider and get a inexpensive hosting package that suits you. Don't go for Free Hosting, it's CRAP.. You can choose Hiox India, as it is very easy, simple, reliable hosting provider.
I know 000webhost offers free and paid web hosting. If you are looking for free web hosting you can always contact a hosting provider and ask if they do sponsor websites
even a lot of paid hosting companies are not reliable lol. i think you better consider some big hosting company to sponsor you a free space instead of public free hostings.
If you are going to but running advertising or affiliate programs on your site, then I would recommend staying away from a free host. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. So you spend time designing your site, get someone to pay you to advertise or spend lots of time setting up affiliate programs. Then go to sleep and wake up to your site deleted. Wouldn't be fun. I would find a small plan that fits your budget (yes you will need a small budget to have an online business/site).
No Paid hosting is good, because You dont have much Options in free hosting when compared to paid hosting. I will go with ipage.
Dont' save some coins to receive unstable hosting. You can just pay $5 for a year to your sites host with powerful server.
There are some mainstream providers when you google "free web hosting". Be careful though and get daily back ups when you can.
As I already mentioned above, I would go with a paid host, particularly since you're going to be making money. That said, I wanted to answer this question in particular, since I forgot to address it. Never, ever, ever purchase your domain name from your webhost. That goes for free host or paid host. If you leave, there are a lot of unscrupulous hosts out there who will hold your domain hostage, and will either not give it back period, or will offer to give it back for a large fee. Purchase your domain through one of the big registrars (Godaddy, Namecheap, etc.) and simply edit the nameservers accordingly to point to whatever host you happen to use.
