Is there a program like this?

Is there a program that's something like SnapBack? You just load it up, put it in the name, and then it tries to grab it for you? (Instead of using an online service)

But are you refering to site ripers ?

 

are you talking about the backup of your site, snapshot backup! a few webhosting provides such options, i don't know if you can get it from somewhere and install it!

Okay, let's say that the name "abc.com" is going to expire tomorrow. Is there a program that I could set up that would automatically try to register abc.com when it becomes available?

I've been looking, and I've only found ones that check to see if a domain is registered, which doesn't help.
