You can share how much you earn publicly, you just cant share your CTR etc.
They don't want details like CTR shared because they want to protect their advertisers but also maintain competitive competition via multiple keywords and mediums.

You basically can't share any performance stats.

"Confidentiality. You agree not to disclose Google Confidential Information without Google's prior written consent. "Google Confidential Information" includes without limitation: (a) all Google software, technology, programming, specifications, materials, guidelines and documentation relating to the Program; (b) click-through rates or other statistics relating to Property performance in the Program provided to You by Google; and (c) any other information designated in writing by Google as "Confidential" or an equivalent designation. However, You may accurately disclose the amount of Google’s gross payments to You pursuant to the Program."

    From their TOS.

You can show all your earning stats except CTR.

Why are you asking a forum for legal advice is a better question? There are lawyers that specialize in this type of stuff if you really care.

Basically, they say you should only show gross earnings, which should mean actual pay checks or wiretransferts.
But people are showing their daily stats, while masking some of the details.

Now you have to understand that the problems comes from google, this "rule" of opacity is not on most other ad networks.
Why they want to hide stuff?
Well we don't have time to thing about that, but it's not transparency, and often when people want to hide things is because they do things in the shadows and want to prevent people to know about it.. Of course if asked they'll tell you some good reasons for the public good, like "do no evil".. Well we don't have to believe something just because someone says it, otherwise imagine all the crap we would believe :)

For instance I can decide of my own motto "be the best at what you do"
Does it mean I'm the best at what I do? Well since I wrote it, it is probably true, isn't it? :)

You cannot show your CTR to public this is against Tos of google. I believe there is a reason for this.

I think it is better to hide the earnings as well as CTR, CPM and CPC Rates.

It is better to hide your CTR, CPM, CPC, to prevent invalid clicks or sabotage by other scrupulous people.
