    Hi all,

I was wondering if there is a formula for link popularity?

For example, if i get a link at a PR 6 site to my site, am I guaranteed to be a PR2 rating etc?

    Do I need 10 PR5 links to get a PR 3 rating?

These are just examples but I hope someone in the know understands what I mean.

    Many thanks

Check out the original university paper the two Google founders Sergey Brin and Lawrence Page wrote. It is free: Google for "The anatomy of a search engine".

Then apply what is known about LSI. (That the passing of PR is weighted by the relevance of the link to the page topic).
This will give you 90% of what you need to know - for free!
