As per a recent article, Google is working on a new penalty that targets site’s that overly optimize for search engines for the past few months. So what exactly Google is trying to do? Is it trying to be fair trying to level the playing field or trying to get a monopoly in the searches...???
It is possible, just be consistent with what you do. Be diverse with your links and anchor text and post quality content and you will be fine.
I really doubt "too much SEO" means what everyone thinks it means. My proof lies in the following: In other words, they're trying to make GoogleBot penalize keyword stuffing and probably value keyword synonyms more. They're also trying to devalue pages with too many OBL.
If anyone has to succeed in the long run of internet marketing in terms of SEO, then obviously it should be ethical..
Too much of anything is bad and so is too much of seo which may amount to spamming. we still find irrelevant sites coming at the top during google search for many of the keywords and it is time google provides the much needed level playing field to quality sites...
Google's recent modifications on their search algorithm may penalize your site if you are using bad ethics on SEO for optimization. Otherwise, we dont know hto which extend Google checks your SEO.
There is a very thin line between Spamming and actual Link Building. At the end of the day good content is what matters. Just remember "Content is the King" It still applies
Ive always heard of Over doing in a sense that your trying to 'GAME' the system vs having good content thats relevant to topic but also not too SEO ish. Like using only exact keyword anchor text. Im hearing that partials are good to go for now also. and some anchors like "click here" or "head here for more info." Even naked links are good (raw links with no anchor text). Also you cant like spill the keyword like crazy. You can use LSI keywords, those are keywords that mean the samething but are completly different words, like, 'how to stop tinnitus' and 'How to stop the ear ringing', if you use google keyword tool make sure its sorte by the RELEVANCY option. you can also use a few lsi keywords in anchor text as well. Remember if you told someone to remember a sentence or title and told them in 6 hours or more write down what you said as best as they could remember, some of them will type something slightly different but releated or pharahrased to the best of their ability. Key that in mind for the natural look. Also Im hearing that when you get backlinks, sometimes its ok to have NOFOLLOW links because it looks natural then having all DOFOLLOW. IT looks like your emulating the viral nature instead of making it look how something would if it were viral.
Yeah, you are right. I have also read that article about over SEO. May be they will attach this new algorithm with Google Panda.
I'm usually using only 1-2,5% density keyword for my micro niche sites. It works well so far, Don't over optimized
Just got to keep it as natural as possible for Big G...Alot of SEO software out there than can force your site into the robotic form...
Quality Control for Google. They are probably going to just stress on content originality. And Spammed links.. Those who do SEO well will last longer
Don't overdo your keywords. Be sure your page's main keywords are in your title and also once in the text somewhere near the top of your page. Beyond that, just let them occur naturally in well-written copy. Try reading your copy out loud to yourself. If it sounds unnatural, you are probably overusing your keywords. Substitute some synonyms.
