Hi, Ive downloaded a few things but nothing seems to fit the bill,

ideally Im looking for a tool that can open mysql data in a spreadsheet type format?

Ive played about with the excel import itself ad infinitum but never managed to get it working reliably.

    Any help much appreciated!

You need to export the mysql table that you want to look at. Export it in .CSV (Comma Separated Values) format and open it with MS Excel. You can export the table using your admin interface (phpMyAdmin or whatever you use).

Do you know what mate.... Ive spent hours on several different occasions playing about with .sql files in excel, I am semi proficcient in sql as well, and NEVER EVER thought to just export the bloody lot straight out as a csv.
