Friends, I am thinking of spending few weeks writing one or two quality ebooks. Do you think I would be able to sell them off at a good price ? If so, where ? Have you ever made and sold an ebook ?
Well, you can sell them to ebay, or after you make the ebook, you can also make a sales page, add some graphics and then send some traffic to it.. you would sell much more it all depends on you really. Also it depends on your experience, from writers who are known people will buy ebooks, but from unknown writers.. it is very hard.. just my 2 cents
Yeah i also suggest Ebay for your Ebooks. and also bookswealth.com and for more Tips for you to be guided, try http://ebooks.webmanila.com/
Thanks all. I know on Ebay they are sold for few cents - jeez ! Lemme try the other sites recommended here
Try and get your topics of the e-Books right. This can make a difference for an unknown writer. Finding places to sell it from is a later stage of the project just as is pricing. First get topics right.
Format it for Kindle. That market is exploding as is the demand for e-materials. If there's a market for your e-book is another matter.
It really all depends on how needed your books information is, if people need what you are providing it's just a matter letting them know it exists and it will sell. Get some good longtail keywords, article market it, lenses, create a landing page and build your backlinks and you should be in good shape
Huge competition in the e-book space. If you don't plan on writing with a unique twist (see: Rich Jerk), don't bother.
I think if you want to sell your ebook, you can try on forums, there is more people need about e book with various topics.
yeah like an ebook being sold in free bies section the other night. the title is "how to get hooked" ha. i tried to have a review copy..
First do some Keyword Research and find a great keyword with great traffic but less competition. Once you do that, start writing an ebook on that niche. Create a webpage and start promoting it. Get Top 10 rankings due to less competition and see the difference in your PayPal Account ($$ will start coming in)
Try to sell your ebook in Forums via starting thread and giving free review copies... or Sell your ebooks in www.payloadz.com
Depends on what you think is a good price. eBooks are still a fine niche to get into but you must very clearly understand what you are writing about and keep as unique as possible. I've recently established a book/video guide which selling is fantastically (in my sig). I find the more controversial, the more instant things and the more uncommon things the more they will appeal to people.
Hi, I know you can sell e-books on Payloadz.com and Lulu.com. Are we allowed to sell ebooks in Ebay? I thought there is a change in the regulation of ebay?
Hard to sell an e-book these days even with unique content. People are a bit skeptical to believe its genuine and not just a rip-off. Other than that, Sandeep's: "First do some Keyword Research and find a great keyword with great traffic but less competition. Once you do that, start writing an ebook on that niche." is spot on. you might get more success also building an informative website on the same subject and then offering the e-book for free or at small cost.
There's definitely a market for ebooks. Just make sure you have a good niche that isn't already being saturated, or if you're going for popular topics, make sure you advertise well and get it in front of lots of eyeballs. You can sell on: Amazon's Kindle (dtp.amazon.com) Your own site (get one free, including domain, at officelive.microsoft.com) E-junkie (they'll automatically send out your ebook to buyers) Payloadz (very similar to e-junkie) Click2Sell (have affiliates sell for you and give them a cut) ClickBank (the most popular affiliate program) Go to Amazon's top 100 to see what kind of paperback books are selling (http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/books) and that should give you a good idea of what kind of information people are buying right now. The best way to sell ebooks is to give away free ebooks. It doesn't cost you anything, so give away as many review copies as you can to respectable people or people who will promote you. Try sending review copies to blog owners who have blogs related to your topic -- you'll get backlinks plus loads of sales. Good luck!
