All the people I meet with directory submitter services claim that adding all the links in a short amount of time (like 1 day) doesnt hurt and I completely disagree. I would like to program my own submitter so I can set it and it spaces out the time between submissions. Does anyone know if a list of directories exists that would work with an autosubmitter? Thanks in advance
Its unlikely that the submitted sites would all be approved on the same day. Dont confuse when and how many you submit with when and how many are approved.
I am not sure about that. I think there are so many directories that works with auto submitter... I am actually looking for directories that would work for this so that this could be added on my list.
DirectoryRecap had lists compatible with digixmas, you might want to check that one out. @Pipes: Good point, I also believe that submitting a site to 1000s of directories in a couple of days (in 1 day if you are doing it automatically), doesn't hurt. Directories take a lot of time in approval and search engine take their own sweet time in reindexing category pages. (most of the times you see listing on latest pages in yahoo site explorer).
I think this is the reason that the effects are occasionally positive for me- if it is already a "successful" site of mine and the number of directories I submit to isn't huge. Its believable for a site like that to acquire links at that rate. If the list of directories is very long and/or the site is new-ish (with few backlinks and it is unbelievable for it to get so many in 4 days) then the effect is negative.
and for very good reason. Stay away from Directories (link farm) that will include site without editing I want to know: what difference does it makes if you wait for month or two to get into sold backlink directory? fastreplies
Auto-approval does not necessarily means free for all There could be some checks in place that auto approve sites with certain PR and traffic rank
Auto submitters seek out sites that offer free links then set the program to visit the submit page. For PHPLD sites the submit page is usually www.domainname.com/submit.php . For Ientry directories the submit page is usually www.domainname.com/submit.html . So auto submitters usually seek out these two types of directories and set the url to the submit page. They determine if the site is free and if it has captcha. So if it is PHPLD or Ientry with free submission and no captch....boom easy directory to submit to. If you get a decent submitter that can auto pick the category for you then you are set. Gtsee.com used to be a very good submission website. The package was cheap and it submitted to around 1000 sites in an hour. Seems they are no longer keeping up with their list cause many now fail and the last few times I have tried it it stops mid way through the submission. In about 1-2 months I will have my own submission site with thousands of directories that will work similarly to Gtsee.com only it will be updated, kept up, there will be more sites, they will all be free with no confirmation needed. Only bad thing for customers is it will cost more than $6.95 . It will rival Digixmas which is in my opinion the best submission product out there right now. Only problem with that is you still have to enter Captcha and it can take hours to submit. Also kills your eyeballs and your hands. I have the first piece of the puzzle already. A script that allows me to load a list of as many directories as I want and once it's done running it tells me 1. Which ones are dead 2. which ones are Ientry 3. which ones are PHPLD 4. which ones are captcha enabled and lastly 5. which ones are free. Sometime in October I will open up the service and I will be providing review copies to kick it off. We'll put an end to submission software debate.
I like the idea of spreading the submits out over time. Less likely to mixed in with a bunch of 'garbage' links! John
Latest version of digiXMAS Submitter saves your eyeballs and your hands by integrating decaptcha service from guys at decaptcher.com . The decaptcha pricing is good too ($3 USD per 1000 images).
