I have a website that deals with PHP tutorials and I have blocks of adsense spread between the tutorials. I should be seeing 5 chunks of adsense show up on the page, but only 3 are. http://www.trancetronics.com/tutorial.php?id=10 There is one on the left under the navigation and two in the tutorial itself... there should be 2 more showing up. I guess my questions are... 1) how many blocks of adsense are showing up for you? 2) is there a limit to how many can appear on a single page?
well, I just read in another thread that 3 is the maximum amount allowed I guess I might have to find another way to show the ads... or at least break up the tutorials into different pages or something.
You should spend some time reading the terms of service. Print it out and read it. The Jensense blog also does a good job explaining it.
Yes. You are only allowed to display a maximum of 3 ad blocks per page. But in addition to that, you can also have one link unit. When you click on adsense setup for content it is clearly mentioned the, "Google AdSense program policies allow you to place up to three ad units and one link unit on any page."
I just reuse the same block of adsense over and over... therefor I don't actually check the adsense page to create my ads very often. I guess I never paid attention and/or never had to worry because I never had more than 3 going at once.
Dont try and find "another way" to show more than 3 ad units on a page, you will end up breacking TOS and getting banned from adsense..... Thats the only thing you can do....
collegebarscene, you would be wise to read the TOS again. Slowly. Thoroughly. You obviously haven't. And if you missed this very obvious part of the TOS, I dare say there are a million other things you are in violation of, but you just don't know it, but will know when someone drops a dime on you and you get the dreaded email. Don't let laziness or ignorance get you banned.
