This I heard from a friend

I had him buy site wide link for a key word that he like.

Before that his site was on 42nd place in google.

After he bought the PR4 site wide link he said the place went to 61 or so.

He is thinkging that for buying a link his site rank went down!

    Any suggestions on this?

Yup, pretty sure something is going on, the results for most if not all my results were from 2-3 months ago. Wonder when this will end :(

Yep, I noticed a dip as well. I actually track search engine traffic by week so see how it's going. This is for my site APopularityContest.com. You will notice the first few weeks was when I had just optimized site.

I am observing several tourism sites in four languages on google.com,
.es, .de, .co.uk, .fr and until now I can see this changes more or less every day since the last PR update.

    Same Here.
My Britney Spears website dropped from page 4 to page 14 to Britney Spears keyword.
It goes for one week and comes back for 1 or 2 days, then it goes again.
Always from position 3x/4x to 14x.

    Same happening to you?

Its like my third time with this

Sounds like I'm in good company. I've been doing quite well with my new site -- minor changes occuring daily, but nothing to be concerned with. Today, I saw a net of -123 down in my SERPS. Is it safe to say this is just a temporary issue? I guess the good news is that I'm do for a nice influx of green (+ SERPS).

Ha ha ha lol... I know what you mean!

Well let me report this. For the past 3-4 days, I have been experiencing the same. I had not touched the content but then again, I was not working on getting links so I thought maybe, it is only me because most of the sites (I am talking about some BIG names in my niche here) stayed where they were but my site dropped 10-12 positions right after gaining 4th position on a very popular keyword.

I started to panic and well, I added more content, worked on more back links and now my site ranks 6th on the first page. I am pretty dead sure that it is NOT because of adding content or working on links again. They are doing something and well, SERPs are bouncing.

Hopefully, this will be a good news for everyone (including myself) and hopefully things will settle down with a positive note for all of us who have experienced this.

I also noticed a huge drop in traffic via google and a huge drop in my AdSense earnings. By all means, it should NOT be like this because even by falling on page 2, I should be making more than what I have been making for the past couple of months. Everyone is talking about SERPs, did anyone also notice traffic drop and/or adsense earnings?

I just checked my other sites and they are also seeing a major drop in SERPs. One site has been pretty entrenched and it took a major hit along with my competitors. It appears this is widespread, so I expect it will reverse in a few days.

They must own stock in antacid. TUMS, etc.:D Seriously, I don't know.. but it gave me a temporary shock. Coming to DP and seeing others has eased my fears. I think it's temporary, but will rest easy when my SERP's come back.
