I just checked the backlinks to one of my sites using digitalpoint tracker. The number of backlinks has increased to 40 from 20. But the link:domain commnd in google returned only 20 results. Is there really a backlink update going on? Or is the digitalpoint tool wrong?
one of my sites went from ~500 BL to ~10000 a couple of weeks ago and is now showing ~15000 so it seems that something has been going on. not to spark a pr debate but i think pr updates are going on all the time if i remember correctly but when they export the data to the toolbar is probably what you are talking about.
True, PR as per toolbar is the only info we got. Matt Cutts mentioned that it is updated once in 3 months, I guess it has been almost 3 months since the last update.
There is a flux in Back link data lately... Few datacenters are showing these changes off and on... e.g. This site is showing changes in backlink for last 2 weeks http://www.rankalert.net/datacenter-watch.php?url=www.lets-fun.com
Another google backlink update Google Updated Backlinks Dated : 14-Sep-2006 My client Nucleus Data Recovery site http://www.nucleustechnologies.com backlinks goes from 208 to 356. Can somebody predict PR Update. I hope it wil be due in next 15 days. Isn't it ??
I use RankAlert and it checks backlinks & PR every hour. You would not believe the amount of emails I get every hour for all my sites with the amount of backlinks that Google registers. Col
I see updated backlinks as well. They're still not up to date, though, because I have several high PR backlinks that don't show up. Is it safe to assume that there's a backlink wine cellar where the links are properly aged before showing up?
Definitely half the datacenters show 1 link half of them show 781 back links for me... I see no change in the PR itself? Does this happen at a different time?
I can confirm now that the back link update has spread to google.com There is a change in the number of back links to all my sites
Guyz... you can always set a google alert on backlink updates by doing this: 1) Go to www.google.com/alerts 2) Sign in to manage your alerts (using gmail user/pass) 3) Create a Google Alert as follows > a) Under Search Terms type > link:yourdomain.com b) Type > Web c) How often > As it happens This has been covered before as well ... but might prove useful to some
