    Hello:)

I recently got my invitation to Google Analytics, figured out how to set it up, and... I'm missing Awstats!

I don't know how to find the info I need in GA, I keep clicking around to not much avail...

Anyone know of a tutorial for Google Analytics?

    ~Confused!

    Thanks!

I would like to see a tutorial showing me how to USE all the information that Google Analytics provides.

It's all tremendously interesting, but how can I use the data to shape my actions. I just go there and meander through all the data. Then, I sigh and leave. My visits are becoming less frequent, for I feel that there is nothing I can use. Certainly nothing not already provided by my other two web statistics packages.

    I hear ya...

Just tell me this: Where do I find my daily unique visitors? And where do I find a link to the external web pages that are linking to me (not just the top 5, all of them!)?

    Thanks!

I find my unique visitors by using AW stats, and "analog".

To find sites linking to me, I use -
    Yahoo - linkdomain:www.sitename.com (Reports the MOST - 3300)
    MSN - link:www.sitename.com (reports in between links - 1000)
    Google - link:www.sitename.com (reports the LEAST links - 31 - useless)

I know about looking through yahoo, msn and g for backlinks... what I'm looking for are RECENT backlinks that likely have not yet been spidered (New forum posts, for example) that I can see brought me a lot of human traffic... so that I can register on that forum and make some industry-related friends (aka- Networking!)

Awstats gives me a list of external web pages that brought me traffic... where does GA have that info??
