Is there a good way to stop spam comments in wordpress blog

Hi,

Is there a good way to stop spam coming through comments on wordpress blog. I am really tired of deleting them manually.

Any automated way

 

Activate Akismet. I hardly get any spam since I activated it.

Another vote for Akismet.The latest version of wordpress comes with it if I'm not mistaken.You just need a wordpress API key to activate it.You can get the API by registering for a wordpress.com account.

get the wordpress api from wordpress.com and install Akismet. no more spam

I still get a few spam comments but Akismet has archived hundreds.
