I get deeply moved, too, by a good many things. But I don't lend its origin to a myth made up by man in his own image. The thing itself is...the thing itself.
I don't need to prove he exists because I don't believe in fairy tales. I don't base my life off of some book, some god, jesus or anyone elses ideas of morals (right and wrong). I use my own experiences and judgments to decide what is right for me. Can you justify the creator without a creation? Did someone create God or did God just happen one day?
Did man make up the dinosaurs too How did they disappear from the face of the earth, was there some intelligent reason that they were on earth before man Maybe we came from monkeys too, right?? I went to the zoo and seen a human coming out of a monkeys belly once (now that is the fairy tale dudes), get real man!
I also ask questions about that. I do not know why there are so much sufferings and why He allow innocent people and children to be hurt and die. Why there is no equality among human. and lot os other questions but deep in my heart, and in my mind, I believe that there is God.
Because without suffering there will no improvement on our lives. All of you said is based on our free will we. We give suffering to others because of our own judgement. Without conflict there will be less or no growth to humanity. If I die saving a bad person, then i give him a chane to be be good remembering what someone did just to save him and that person might even save another life or even a hundred or more lives...
Not really an opinion.. more like a fact. Mia always has an excuse. There's always an excuse as to why murder and suffering take place without justice. Excuses for Iraq. Excuses for God. Excuses for everyone on his side.
That is not an excuse. It's a plain fact that any religion will teach you. Why not find a teen forum and go bother other kids your age.
Religion will also teach people the inane ability to dismiss sense and rationale, favouring thoughts influenced by deluded prophets thousands of years ago. Every religion must have an answer for almost everything, else it isn't that solid or believable. Afterall, people are looking for answers to these questions. Pete
Ive seen one monkey man (side note: if we looks around us and even at ourselves and just think with an open mind we will come to see that there has to be a creator)
Has to be a creator? Please. There doesn't. Things can just 'happen' you know. Life didn't 'happen' on other planets at the same time as ours simply because the conditions weren't so. If you leave a piece of bread on the table for 2 weeks mould will develop on it - there wasn't a 'creator' who made the mould. The mould didn't think 'Ooh, we're here.. living on this bread.. someone must of created all of this'. It just happens because of the conditions, damn it. You could say looking from far above that we are mould growing on planet earth, specifically humans, who spread and build, pollute and generally fuck up the delicate balance of nature for our own ends. Why does there have to be a creator? You don't know, so don't claim it. You don't know what happens when you die, so don't follow a religion and claim it. You don't know a God exists, so don't claim it. Quit claiming stuff that's born out of peoples heads from thousands of years ago or silly thoughts like 'There must be a creator' .. yeah, why must there. 'Shit happens'. If I have a car crash, the God of car crashes didn't make it happen. It wasn't fate. It's simply events that led up to it 'happened' therfore I had a crash. This is how life on earth happened! How can you even CONTEMPLATE anything else? It isn't POSSIBLE. Isn't this thread done yet.. do people still believe in 'God'? Heck. People are believing in new religions everyday, Scientology to name one.. they're all the flippin' same. Horse shit cooked up by weird people, whether it's failed science fiction writers who wanted to create a religion for dollars or people thousands of years ago who were either maniacs or control freaks. Some clever philosophers, but still mental or deluded, and some not so clever ones. Pete
