Well a lot of scientists would call it hte grand unified theory, essentially it is all the atoms etc in the universe that interact with each other. In maths/physics you can predict where to atoms will be at anyone point if you know the starting points and directions they are travelling in unfortunatly when you get more atoms the maths comes nearly impossible to do. Its more of an argument for determinism but it does follow the theory that god plays no role. There are reasonably strong theories that there are actually alternate realities to, this is established by the fact on a quantum level an atom can be in multiple places at the same time, so the argument is why on a macro level doesnt a table exist in multiple places, and the argument to that is it does but it excists ina seperate plane of excistance.

Granted it all sounds far fetched but its definatly no more far fetched than the belief of god.

And i am sure at the start of this thread someone commented on the fact that creationist use the argement what was before the big bang etc if god didnt just creat it? Well what created god?

And as to the 2 people that fell into a bad situation in their life and believe god helped them out, well to be honest so have i, a few things have happened in my life that i guess you could say could of been the making of me or the end of me. Through a bit of luck and a lot of hard work I have got my self out of these situations without the help of any god. Now a lot fo it i guess was just the human nature to try and survive and the rest was luck, it certainly wasnt god. Anyways liek your say you dont mind what people believe in, i am the same i just like to argue. If you get out of your bad situations and live a good life means you think it is god fair enough, aslong as you are happy and a decent human being

So it just happened with no intelligent thought behind it right

The Universe is still expanding and growing, new galaxies and planets are discovered and there is no end to it, it is infinite!

The theories you offer have a major flaw, they are thought up by men that have more questions than answers after they come up with their theories!

To say that our universe, the earth and life "Just Happened" with no intelligent thought behind it when one considers the diversity of life and the beauty of the creation is foolish.

This is like saying that a skyscraper or a car just happened and appeared with no architect or builder to conceive and construct them!

I look at a skyscraper, or a car. If I wonder how it appeared, I will investigate it. I will look at things I can detect empirically, and delve in deeper as I find more. Eventually, I may even go to see a car being made. Or an architect designing a building. IN the case of the universe, this is what we do as human beings. We ask questions. Those unanswered questions invite one to, well, ask more questions. How can you look at the history of the world, and man's knowledge of it, and still hold that those questions unanswered must be ascribed to some deity?

Well go back to the book of Genesis and read it, the first few pages are all you need to read to gain an understanding, you don't have to believe it, just keep banging your head against the wall and wonder how the Sun and the Earth and life were created

PS: I got news for you, you were not around Trillions of years ago to see how the Universe was created, keep digging though, you and NASA may find out one day!

I have read Genesis, indeed, most of the Bible.

I have also had the privilege of reading other texts. Among them, the words of peasants, transcribed by the few literate priests available in the middle ages, in rare texts; the words show beautifully that the peasants of the small villages of the local priest did enjoy a certain peace; fully adult, they spoke, and thought like children in their security in the cosmos...all is well with God in the heavens and the Prince of the fiefdom on earth.

I do think we lost a certain security, and peace, when we started asking questions. As Shakespeare's Henry V says, the peasants "toil all day under the eye of Phoebus, and all night long, sleep in Elysium."

However, was it Elijah who said (and I admit the paraphrase), "when I was a child, I thought as a child; when I became a man, I put away childish things..."

It is the weight of modernity that we use the neural mass above our spine to work out this beautiful existence around us.

Dude, just because your mom didn't catch your nudie magazine hidden under the pillows in the couch before you could sneak it off doesn't mean "god" helped you.

Every month someone's probability in winning the lottery is 1 in MILLIONS.. yet someone keeps winning every time, oh my! There must be a god if someone wins!!!! :D

So yo-yo, the universe and the fantastic images in space that the Hubble sent back are just something that happened with no thought

How about the miracle that you have eyes to see it

Can you justify the creation without a creator yo-yo, did someone create your websites or did they just happen one day

    Please provide answers my friend.....

    Hahahahahaha.

Anthonycea, I have read throughout this forum of your musings, but now I see firsthand your vantage point. You are like a child playing monopoly, who when confronted with simple questions which confound its simple mind, simply throws the board up into the air, and simply declares the game over. "Simple" would be the watchword.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go partake of the miracle of emesis.

Real funny man, so you do exactly that without being able to put up a logical debate!

    Real funny bro! :)

    Yes.

Trying to use flawed and silly logic on me does not work.

I can use the exact same statement to you:
Can you justify the creator without a creation? Did someone create God or did God just happen one day?

Before you go ranting on about all of god's superpowers and magical abilities, all I have to say is - PROVE IT

I'll close with you with this, Anthonycea:

    My illogic and faith-based ramblings:

Your returning to the question at hand, and using something we can all use to debate on the merits:

(and more, ad nauseum). If you truly believe you have used logic in anything, I'm just sorry for you - sincerely.

If you are playing a game, and are like that kid with the monopoly board (now in the other room, playing hide and seek while no one wants to play along), I'll leave you to your mental masturbation, better things to do.
