God does exist, spirits do exist and we're here to improve ourselves that's why we're exposed to suffering.

P.S. IQ is as important as PR lol Good for marketing :)

For crying out loud. What's nice about that story? It's silly, yet every religious person will get a buzz out of it because it re-affirms their bullshit yet it proves nothing.

I know you find it hard to believe but if I raised a child and replaced every 'God' in your bible of choice to 'Blue Rabbit' then my children would believe there to exist a Blue Rabbit because the elements that make religion so strong are still in effect, just centered on a blue rabbit instead of this 'God' fella.

They would then come on message boards and participate in threads like these with religious beliefs so UTTERLY strong and REAL to them (them is the key here), they would tell you to prove the Blue Rabbit didn't exist and because you can't really say anything against their oh-so-strong beliefs, they take it as proof that it actually exists.

How very simpled minded and child-like.

It is all in your heads. Enjoy your religion and what you derive from it, but just don't tell me that your God exists in the reality outside of your head because it fuckin' appauls me. Alright? Good. Now carry on placing most of your focus in life on making money on the Internet like your God will most certainly approve of. If you make that money, thank your God. Give him all the credit and state that you were blessed by him. Don't credit yourself at all. Make sure you spend all that money doing your Gods work, too.

You believers don't half make me chuckle.

    Pete

I don't know if my parents believe in God, they've made me go to church just to get rid of me on Sundays, that didn't make me believe. When I was 14 I've made an experience where there was a maybe 1 in 200,000 probability that this would come true, when I was in deep shit and prayed for something, something came true that solved my problem. It wasn't until 10 years later that I would associate God's action with it. So as far as I'm concerned, God is real, he has shown himself to me. Not as a burning bush (even though fire and a bush were involved in my experience), but he has revealed his power and willingness to help me when I need it. Unless you experience it for yourself, yeah, you may be likely to doubt. But come on, man ... our existance in itself is not logical. I do understand how the different religions and choices can confuse someone, but God's existance to me is not something that is too hard to believe in. Just my 2 pennies.

That's pretty much the same for me blogmaster! I was raised Catholic, went to church ever Sunday, Alter boy, CCD, Catholic School, etc. Some things along the way in life had me question my faith, God, etc. I felt for a time he did not exist, was angry with him, you know the drill. Anyway, something happened that made me realize there was a God. Every day since then, that continues to be the case.

Now I do not consider myself one of those half backed Christian nut cases, or whacky, speaking in tounges born agains. I still consider myself Catholic. The only difference now, is I communicate directly. I like it much better that way. I don't think of sex before marriage as a sin. I don't think of living together as a sin, and I certainly would never consider a child born out of wed lock to be a bastard. I believe in b-control. I guess that is the one thing I can say about the Catholic religion that has been nice. No one looks down on your, or lectures you about these things. At least I have not seen that over the years. They might teach you one thing, but most of us do another. The Catholic community is a lot more socially liberal than the Pope and the churches teachings let on. I digress.

Anyway, I don't care whether others believe or not, nor do I care what others believe in, or not.

You think by praying you somehow managed to physically alter events, Blogmaster?

I know a guy in Scotland who believes he can summon demons to do exactly the same thing. He thinks he can control peoples lives remotely by waving his various tools about in ceromonies. It's only a matter of time before he begins to sacfrice animals to these demons/spirits as gifts for them to do more 'work' of his that he truly believes in.

It is of no coinsidence his parents are heavily religious.

See, he couldn't shake it either - except he rebelled against his parents religion but still ended up in its clasp by believing in what he does now.

He's a very clever guy, too. It's such a shame..

So Pete, intelligent design and the ever expanding universe means nothing to you right

The Sun and the way it keeps time and comes up everyday on time and sets on time mean nothing to you

So if there is no higher being how did this process think itself up Pete

Did a songwriter write the song Pete or did it just think itself up?

    Who created Shakira Pete?

I don't know how it happened, and I believe there comes a point where you can no longer question. You either surrender in faith, or you choose not to believe. Had I however given up at that moment in need and not opened my eyes at the right time, I'm 90% sure I would have missed what saved me. So I do believe that God is everywhere throwing signs at us. Seriously, I like what Mia posted. I am not catholic and every church I've been to has bashed Catholicism. It's not my choice of religion, but I believe it matters how you speak to God directly. Seriously. I'm not fucking nuts, but I know that God listens and responds in his own ways. And like I've said, I completely understand the turn-off that Christians and their churches can be. I've been thru the wringer. But you know what, I can't let that take my belief from me. People generally suck, Christians or not, even though I believe God makes those who believe in him, better everyday. So if you meet a Christian who is an asshole, he was prolly a bigger one before he came to Christ. Mia, you're actually the first Catholic who I've spoken to about this in a long time. It's funny how some churches brainwash you in almost believing the pope is the devil.
