In the end, this is something you will likely have to decide for yourself. No one can really tell you either way. Do I believe there is? Yes. Until someone disproves that belief, I'm pretty much sticking with it.

There is? Where? I was still under the impression there was something called a "missing link". Look, I am not knocking the comment, I just think it is a bit inaccurate. Creationism and Darwinism, are equal on the theory level, and neither has been disproven yet. They are equally right, equally wrong, and equally exist as an explanation to our whereabouts.

Ever wonder why it is called the "Theory of Evolution"? Because it is just that, a theory. The same could easily be said of God. In all fairness, that's pretty much the way it is.

Perhaps they do not put UFO's or little green aliens in the same leauge as the Almighty. What religion though? I've known my share of Catholic, Baptist, Luthern, non-denom, etc., that all believe in UFO's.

What's the point? Are you saying that believing in UFO's and God are equally ridiculous?

There is? Like what? Do we always need "scientific evidence" to convice of things? Hell, scientific evidence, physics and aerodynamics have told me time and time again that bumble bees cannot fly. The funny thing is, I am pretty sure I have seen a bumble bee fly. But then again I believe in God, and UFO's, so I guess I'm a bit nuts. Bees flying, what the hell was I thinking?

Many people may be, but in the end, I think it is the holiest of holies that are likely guided by satan.

So the government invested much more in God. Hell, we trust in him. We put him on all our money. We even mention the heck out of him in our own founding documents and constitution. (some will try to say we don't, but it is there). I guess we might has well have founded the nation under UFO. We did it under God. Go figure. If that is not an edorsement of the truth, I do not know what is.

Really? It's called Free Will man. What's to question?

Really? If you are that confused, stay the hell away from the Old Testament.

God exists. I wouldn't believe in something if it weren't logically probable.

And for the love of Pete, don't listen to the atheists; they think they have reason and logic cornered but it's mostly hoodwinkery.

    Yes there is god!
Can you see Air?...You can't! You can feel the existence of Air!
Like Air is everywhere...God also every where!..You can't see god! God neither female nor male! God is some sort of spirit. God rules our birth and death!...God created us..hence God created water to drink...god created food to eat...god love good people..god will punish bad people...

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arguments_against_the_existence_of_God

I don't think I could ever change a persons beliefs on a forum, but none the less there are a few arguments against the idea of a god. Even though I like the think of myself as open minded on the subject - I lean more towards the idea that no god exists.

You are right, evolution does have its "missing link." I never said in my post that evolution was a perfect theory. But scientists around the world agree that evolution can be measured and observed. The existence of God cannot.

Einstein's "theory" of relativity is a theory to. But it has been used to transform a fantastic amount of matter into energy better known as a nuclear reaction. Despite this, anyone who studies quantum physics knows that their are problems with relativity. For one it seems to be incompatible with quantum physics itself. This doesn't make the theory any less valid.

Free will is a typical excuse religious people use. Why didn't God, if he exists, give us "degrees of free will?" We wouldn't be able to tell the difference could we?

I already do. Until someone can scientifically explain to me how Noah got 100 million species of animals onto an ark, and why despite the global "flood" certain species of animals are found in certain parts of the globe, I'm sticking to a combination of the ancient astronaut theory combined with evolution.

One other thing mia. Can you or anyone else who believes "God is good" explain to me why God designs a planet where in every society only 1% of the population has IQs over 150?

Doesn't this create the equality problem found in every society? Why can't everyone be extremely intelligent? Why are some people born with mental problems? If God is so perfect, why can't he get it right?

It goes back to that duality thing I was talking about in my earlier post.

Tell that to the guy who was implicated in the Kennedy assassination (wrongly) cuz of Wikipedia a few months back.

Wikipedia is actually made up of a lot of people's opinions. Truth be damned sometimes.

I never meant that wikipedia is perfect. They make mistakes like everyone. But they try to base their info on facts.

Since when? One is based on observation of scientific fact. The other is not.

    True enough.

They are not equal at all. (See above)

This one's already been covered with mention of the theory of relativity, created by a genius we STILL don't fully understand.

Maybe ridiculous is too strong a word. How about "fantastical"? Incidently, there is more evidence of the existance of extra terrestrial life than there is of divinity. ...And, there's always the explanation that mixes the two together. How do we know that the intellectual light weights that were around at the time of the creation of christianity (or other religions) didn't misinterpret visitors from another world as gods? They would certainly appear to have magical powers to humans who didn't have electricity and communicated on very rare occasions across country by horse.

Yes. We do. That is how an enlightened society continues to stay enlightened.

Just because a country trusts god, puts god on their money or mentions god A LOT, does not mean that god exists. It's not an endorsement of the truth at all. It's the endorsement of an idea for sure, but that does not make it truth.

my brother---go easy or read some more---you are way too under educated to have these discussions.

before going into logic---your 1st post uses their instead of there about 5 times. Hay un gran diferencia---come on.

Get in touch with your inner self-read for a few years and come back.

You don't know what you're talking about. You come into this forum making posts about me when you know nothing about me.

    1. The highest score I've made on any IQ test is 148.

    2. I wrote my first 300 page book in junior highschool.

    4. I'm only three credits away from my associates degree and will go back to school to work on my bachelors degree.

    5. Last year I read like five books. I'm currently reading a book on conceptual physics.

    6. So what if I used "their" instead of "there". I type fast, and I don't always stop to correct my posts.

    7. I built a website about geniuses and great minds that will go to a PR 6 at the next update: www.supernaturalminds.com. Why would anyone of average intelligence build a site like that?

    8. I've been asked to join the International High IQ society three times!

    9. My college math scores indicate I'm above average in mathematics.

    10. How many people pick Nikola Tesla as "their" avatar you imbecile!? Most people don't even know who he is!

    11. If my idiot parents had home schooled me instead of sending me to public school I'd probably be at MIT or Harvard!

Please don't come into the threads posting negative comments when you don't even know me. :(

Why not!? Page rank is a measure how well your site ranks with the engines. I'm proud my site is going to a six. I got my site link on a PR 7 page! Do you have any idea how much effort that takes!?

Don't tell me you don't think page rank is important, because it is part of Google's algorithm.

Man, now you guys have gotten me off the subject of the thread. Back on the subject of the thread, God is NOT scientific because he can't be proven or disproven, and everyone here with a brain knows it. That doesn't mean God doesn't exist. It just means its not scientific.

Therefore, Intelligent Design should not be taught in schools as an alternative to evolution.

Haha. Bragging about reading "like" 5 books a year. You are a dumbass. Anyone that tries to make an argument about how intelligent they are in a forum is of below average intelligence at best.

Your associates degree? wow! soon you might get promoted to assistant manager at Burger King.

you are kidding right? you almost read 5 books---

I dont think we compete---I read about 30. I went to 5 new countries. I dont know anything about conceptual physics. Unlike you---I dont need to blow up anything I do...

IQ test? how much can you afford to win? I'll give you 3to1. Only caveat is the results are public in this forum.

If you get a better score, I'll even throw in a trip to Iceland.
