I'm sure there's a God, BUT, I'm sure he really dosen't care about what name or form we give him. He's probably more concerned about why we fight each other all the time for no good reason ;)

I think there is but what I want to know is what created his creator's creator. Thoughts like that make my mind go nuts! lol

Yeah, the concept of "God creating himself" or "God creating another "lower" God" is rather painful for the head ;)

    Hahaha.
If you we're worried about how big the space is, never read anything about quantum physics / cosmics. You'll die instantaneously ;)

The concept of God is not scientific, because his/her/its existence cannot be proven or disproven. Their is no scientific evidence of God. Their is scientific evidence of evolution.

The funny thing is I've done a heck of a lot of research on UFOs/Aliens, and when I ask religious people who believe in God if they believe in UFOs or Aliens, they tell me no.

The funny thing is, there is MORE scientific evidence showing that UFOs and Aliens do exist then their is evidence that God exists!

This is the only problem I have with Alex Jones. He talks about how the Globalists/Illuminati are satanists and are guiding by the Power of Lucifer.

Yet Alex Jones always says how he doesn't "talk about UFOs." Doesn't make much sense to me, because both are equally fantastic. The government even admits they investigated the UFO phenomenon, and put it on their own website saying at least 700 cases couldn't be explained. The government also started five agencies to investigate UFOs.

This is where I tend to disagree with Jones. One of the principle problems I have with God, and I've said this before, is that I look at the world around me and the things that go on and I question his purpose.

Why does it seem evil people always take control of governments? Why the duality of light and dark? With all the studying I've done, I'm more confused than ever.

Did you hear about the dyslexic agnostic?

He lay awake all night wondering if there really was a dog?

    (No offence to dyslexics intended)

Logic would dictate there isn't a God, however, I'm still afraid of what might happen if he gets pissed at my logic... so better safe than sorry. :)

BTW, ever notice how everyone refers to God as "he"? I personally can't imagine God being a she, but what makes everyone so sure about "he"? How about "it", a devine being doesn't have to be male/female, or even humanoid... well that's just too much to think about.

Regardless of what the truth is, you can think of Church as an insurance policy, "just in case"...

If you look closely at history, particularly from very early Mesopotamia, you'll find the stories and mythologies that some of the current and past religions are based upon. Areas that were mountainous developed religions where the Gods dwell at the top of the greatest mountains. Areas where the land was very flat, where the only area inaccessible to man was the sky, developed religions where Gods dwell in the heavens. Those same flat lands also had a great deal of trouble with flooding, and it is from these areas that stories of a catastrophic flood, resembling the story of Noah's Ark, are first found. Additionally, the Epic of Gilgamesh, the oldest surviving story we know of, has many parallels to the old testament. The Gods created a new human meant to complement Gilgamesh. This new man, Enkidu, lived in the wild: in harmony with nature. He was seduced by a harlot, having sex with her over a period of seven days. After this period he became more aware of himself and his surroundings, and no longer fit in as a part of nature.

On the other hand, there are still many reports today of ghosts, possessions, or other supernatural events. Even if nine out of ten of these stories can be accounted for by hoaxes, mental disorders, or misinterpretations, you are still left with that one incident that no logical reasoning can explain.

So, my belief is that there is some form of existence beyond what we can detect, but I don’t believe any of the religions have any true knowledge of what that is. More simply, I would call myself an Agnostic.

If anyone’s interested in something different, the film “What Dreams May Come” gives a view of the afterlife that is both interesting and unique. Not that those ideas are true either, but it’s just interesting to consider.

We say "he" or "him" just like the way books are written. It's concise and simple :p

EDIT: To add at what Feel just said, I would recommend some of the Bernard Werber's books. Some of them talk about what might happen when you're dead.

Most people in our society have been raised to believe that God is a "he" because we live in a society that is Patriarchal. However, if you go look at some of the ancient civilizations of the middle east and Africa, you will find that God is referred to as a woman, such as Innana or Ishtar.

I personally think if there is a God, it is not terrestrial. It is extraterrestrial, and not from our planet.

Though evolution is scientific, I have to admit that I do believe their is something out there beyond human. All the evidence points to the ETs. But then you start wondering where they came from.

If you want to use logic only, then explain to me the logic behind the existance of humans.

Can you explain to me if there is a God why he allows so much suffering when he all the power in the universe to stop it?

That is an open ended question that no definitive answers can be given for, only speculations. I can't begin to tell you why humans exist or the logic behind their existence.

That is one of the questions I would like to ask God, I just hope I can remember all this stuff after I'm dead.
