It used to be that facebook pages had dofollow links. Maybe if you pay to fb for a page, you'd get dofollow links.
Wrong. They got dofollow backlinks, but only inbound. I mean, FB to FB backlinks, to distribute "its juice" The outbound backlinks are nofollow, indeed.
I don't think Facebook has dofollow link. You can easily check it by right click on the website and click on view page source. The CTRL A to select all, CTRL F to find, and type in nofollow, you'll prob see many of them. This indicate it's a no follow page.
They use dofollow only on inbound links. Take a look at: http://www.facebook.com/madonna?v=info There are better options to check if a website uses nofollow/dofollow links. I personally use the firefox plugin "quirk searchstatus"
no social networking sites allows dofollow links. If you think logically then you will understand, a social networking site will have millions of visitors and registered users. Each user can post as many link as he/she can. So in this if they allow dofollow links then people will exploit it at it's most and these sites will be a junk of spams and irrelevant posts. Thus to avoid this a social networking site should avoid allowing do follow links for it's own shake.
