Hi, As the title says... Do user in France see different results comparing to USA user? Is there a way to see those results from another place (like google's global search) Thanks, Saar.
Yahoo! actually do offer local search. For my country, philippines its ph.yahoo.com and it gives different results from say www.yahoo.com only. Italy - it.yahoo.com UK - uk.yahoo.com etc. These sub-domains at yahoo serves different results. For example, search "digitalpoint" at it.yahoo.com and uk.yahoo.com then compare results. With my test, it gave different result.
yes he is right.. searching will depend on your preference if it is local or world wide.. the same also applies to Google.. this helps the search engine to organize and give the searcher the most related search result..
There is a difference between the two searches. A local search would see local sites and businesses be seen more properly as compared to sites of different localities.
Results in yahoo France and USA shows different results because of the country specified domain names. in this case it fetches the local results of the specified country . If you want to see USA results from France you have to go yahoo.com and search, I think there is no other choice other than this in yahoo
Ya obviously local search result gives local results means local sites and businesses while in global search result it will shows the result globally...
Yes there will be a difference depending on where in the world you live. try searching google maybe for a tool that does that? oh the irony!
obviously without that it won't make a sense. why would someone search for something that he can't get access to however the fact of the matter is that google has specialized a great deal more in regional searches and will obviously bring out better searches for you.
