    Hi there,

I've read and read and read and have yet to find a concrete answer to this question as was hoping someone with experience in this field could possibly help me find an answer.

I'm making a business plan for a website and for the Income section, the majority of income will be generated by ads. So, my questions are:

    1. Is there a calculatation for the amount traffic (daily, weekly) received to the amount generated for AdSense?

    2. IS AdSense THE way to go to monitize on a site relying on generating income mainly from advertising? If not, what are other good programs to join?

    3. Go with CPC or CPA?

Thank you for your time and help!

    Dov

The amount you will make per how much traffic varies tremendously... no-one can answer this with any accuracy. Your niche and many many other factors will determine this. And your daily amount can fluctuate widely also.... even with similar visitor numbers. I can only tell you what we get... between about 4000-6000 visitors per day brings us approx $150-$200 per day. But for some people, the same number of visitors will bring a fraction of this amount... others will make more.

It is advisable usually to have more than one stream of income on your site, especially in case you get banned from the Adsense program (stick with their TOS and this risk will be lessened, though not eradicated) so using other affiliate ads can bring you extra income. (look around on the forum for various different affiliate programs) They can also lessen your Adsense income at times, but in general things seem to come out ahead by using more than one source. Be aware however, not all of the programs can be used in conjunction with Adsense, so check into this carefully.

CPC and CPA can both be good... once again, it's hard to predict.. what works well for one may not for another. By using Adsense and other programs you can have both these options in play.

Hope this has helped a bit. Basically... it's highly unpredictable and individual, and an accurate income plan would be hard to devise.

You won't find a concrete answer with so little data, because there are too many variables.

Site design, content, keywords, competing sites, all these can make a huge difference in the revenue from CPC or CPA ads.

The best you can do is constantly experiment to see what generates the most income, and then project from there.

Even then, you have to be prepared for changes at any time. Other sites can come and steal your visitors. Advertisers can change their tactics. Users can lose interest in the topic.

This is true but everyone can give you estimates and everyone will say the more traffic, the more clicks.

tbo, my ctr % average is pretty close on one of my site over a 3 year period.

No calculation works for Adsense. Its totally depend on nature of click & keyword.

And it's against AdSense TOS to reveal your CTR publicly.

CTR X Traffic X CPC = Money Figure these 3 variables out and you can estimate your earnings

As for monetization never put all your eggs in one basket EVER!
