I am a novice webdesigner and do my own commercial pages based on two 6 week classes online in HTML and XHTML/CSS. I appreciate the ablity to do my own webdesign updates etc on my own. Recently I launched a new site for an online hypnotherapy program here http://www.ibsalternative.com. Irritable bowel is a terrible thing but it is well treated with medical hypnosis. My offer is well priced based on what is available otherwise, and the product itself is well done. I am additionally well trained for what I am doing and link my longstanding commercial site for my office practice showing a trusted presence on the net. However my google ads which are well targeted (keywords "ibs hypnosis" and the like) have yielded 1600 hits and no sales at all. It is fantastically discouraging to have 1600 people who were on the web looking for exactly what I offer not result in even one sale. My sister suggested my site lacked graphic design appeal and it requires a new layout. I am loathe to buy Dreamweaver of Frontpage cause I am not keen on learning a whole new set of quirks and problems and how to solve them, but would they assist in helping me create a more "professional" website? Is there conversely a site somewhere that lays things out and says thing to someone like me such as "be sure and use framless layout with at least 3 sections for a professional look" or "avoid any layout that does not (whatever)"? I honestly excpected to at least support my ad habit with this offer! Geez. I do not know what to do next. ANy thing anyone can offer would be well appreciated. Thank you very much marie
