is there a app. that can counts words?

I was wondering if there is a application that counts the amount of words written? I'm tired of counting words and was wondering if there is something to count to words.

 

Uh, ya its called MS Word or Open Office Writer. If you want something web based, try textalyser.net which does word count plus a whole lot more. Or try google:

in linux u have the ultmate cmd line utility called wc it gives wordcount,linecount and much more

 

It can be done inside Microsoft Word. Go to Tools> Word count and it should tell you.

The one I use, since I don't write in Word (it takes way to long to load and I'm not a fan of microsoft) is this little site right here that lets you paste your words right in the window and counts 'em for ya. Loads quickly.
