    Hi there,

maybe this is a strange question. Anyway, I am a little confused by the term "cloaking". According to Google is is a practice of presenting different content or URLs to users and search engines.

On the other hand, internet marketers call a technique cloaking that is used by the Wordpress plugin GoCodes for instance. There, the original URL is cloaked und replaced by a redirect URL.

Now I would like to know if Google consider tools like GoCodes that let's you create shortcut URLs as a technique that is not in align with Googles quality guidelines.

I dont think so but I am willing to learn. Thank you for feedback.
